Sunday School

Sunday School Classes are offered year-round for all ages, infants through adults between the worship services every Sunday from 9:40am until 10:40am.  All are welcome.

We are always trying to learn how to live out God's call to service.  This year in Sunday School we are doing this by talking about "TEAM." In addition to the important Bible lessons taugh each week, each class has a team name and a coach who is helping the students work on their team ministry project.  For example, the 5th and 6th graders are raising money for a church in Cleveland, while the High Schoolers are collecting snacks for an after school program for at-risk teens.

As a whole, the Sunday School is working on ministry together, too.  On the first Sunday of each month, our Sunday School offerings are going to God's Global Barnyard a ministry of the ELCA.

Our teachers are using a curriculum called "Living the Good News." This gets parents and children on the same page because the children's Bible lessons cover the same Bible passages that the parents study in their class and that we all study in worship.  When families talk about their Christian faith, good things happen.  Sunday school lessons become life lessons, lived out all week long.

Other classes include a class for the adults led by Pastor Jim Watson on the topic of the day, and a class for 0 to 3 year olds and their parents.  The kids play and the parents talk about ways to build faith in themselves, their families, and their children.

Sunday School registration is always open.  Call any of the Sunday School leaders below, and we'd be happy to give you more information, answer your questions, and send you registration materials for Sunday School.
